The dental crown procedure

Crown placement typically requires two visits. During the first appointment, we prepare the tooth by reshaping it to create space for the crown. Impressions (digital or physical) are taken to create an exact model. A temporary crown is placed to protect your tooth while the permanent crown is fabricated in a dental laboratory.

At your second visit, we remove the temporary crown and bond the permanent restoration in place. We carefully check the fit, bite, and colour to ensure optimal comfort and a natural appearance. With proper oral hygiene and regular dental visits, your crown can last many years.
